Editing the product

In this image, I have just started making my promotional campaign video. The first thing I did was get all the videos I would use in my campaign, e.g. the entrance video, the den video etc.
Then, I started by adding the entrance video to my sequence and cutting out any unwanted footage; for example, there were a few seconds at the beginning of the video where Henry was counted in and at the end to allow some breathing space for the editing of the video. To cut the unwanted footage out, I needed to go through the footage to the point where I wanted the film to start, Henry walking down the stairs, next I used the razor tool to cut the unwanted footage out; I am getting rid of this footage because this part of the footage is usually just one of us counting Henry in or is breathing space to do the editing. Still, I needed to ensure that it was in line with the sequence replay line to get an accurate cut so that I didn't cut anything I wanted.
Once that was completed, I thought of the next scene for the video, the den shot, because I thought it would be best to put everything in order by starting with the entrance and ending with our course corridor so that it would make sense to the audience who may be what the campaign video. Again, I used the razor tool to cut any unwanted footage out; once that was done, I moved the footage over to line up with the end of the entrance video so that it would go straight from the entrance video to the den video. However, with Katie and Henry randomly talking, I wanted to remove the audio and replace it with some music. To do this, I needed to right-click on the mouse and find the unlink button to unlink the video from the audio; once that was done, I could delete the audio and replace it with a part of an interview we did. Also, I was going to use another two videos for this part of the campaign video, which were the den in and the den out, but I decided that it may make the video too long and that they were not really needed.

After completing the Direction editing, I moved on to the following video: the learning centre. Like the other videos, I cut out any unwanted footage because the beginning and end of the video are just breathing space for us to edit, as we didn't want the footage to begin with Henry talking. After all, we may have had to cut some of the talking out if there was no breathing space. The next part of the campaign video was the gym. Again, like the other videos, I needed to cut off any unwanted footage. However, for this video, I had music and Henry talking at the end as he told the viewers what this room was and said, "isn't this wonderful, so this is the gym." But, to only get this quote, I needed to unlink the audio once I had finished cutting the re

Next in the campaign video was the corridor behind the stairs in Starbucks. With this video, there wasn't much to do except cut any unwanted footage off, remove the audio after it had been unlinked from the video, and extend the music from the gym video over to it. After this part, I moved to the creative media corridor. Again all I needed to do was cut any unwanted footage off, and this part of the video was done. Now with all the footage in order and their editing done, I next needed to add the intro and outro screens. After the intro and outro screens were in place, I could add the video transitions to the screen and audio transitions to the music audio. These transitions are called exponential fade and dip to black. I added the exponential fade to the music audio because I wanted it to sound like someone was turning down the music and not just ending suddenly. I added the dip to black to the intro and outro screens because I thought it would be better to have them fade away instead of flipping to the film part of the campaign video.
